I'm Bobbie. After 35 years in the same career, I'm figuring out what comes next. I'm trying things, building things, learning things, and seeing where all of it leads.
I just knew I didn't want the next 10 years to look exactly like the last 10.
I've spent 35 years in court reporting and captioning. It's a career I'm good at. It's paid the bills, raised my kids, and given me a life I'm grateful for.
But somewhere along the way, I started asking a different question: What else could my life look like?
I don't have the answer. So instead of waiting until I do, I'm trying things. I've started businesses. I've abandoned ideas. I've learned new skills, gone down ridiculous rabbit holes, changed direction, and started over more than once.
This site, and everything I'm making around it, is where I'm keeping track of what happens next.
I'm not documenting the answer. I'm documenting the search.
The point isn't to stay in one lane. It's to follow the interesting questions, try things for real, and see what happens.
Some work. Some don't. Some turn into something completely different from what I thought I was building.
Usually because I got curious enough to ask, “Wait... how does that actually work?”
Wherever the current idea, project, experiment, or curiosity happens to take me.
The kind of people who make you want to ask another question instead of wrapping up the conversation.
The projects, experiments, rabbit holes, detours, and occasional good ideas all end up on YouTube. That's where I'm documenting the search as it happens.
